Guru Review

» Find a Guru

You can post a project free on Guru within 3 main categories: Technology, Creative Arts & Businss. You could collaborate with their integrated project management tools. It's a pretty secure site as they have their SafePay option which acts like Escrow. You don't release funds til you get the deliverables. If you used SafePay, have more than $25 in SafePay, and you have a dispute with the Employer, you have access to Mediation and Arbitration services.

Their file sharing system enables you to send up to 100 MB in their private messaging to providers. No way you could send that as an attachment in your emails!

Guru does not require the worker to punch-in and out in real-time, which allows an abusive worker to log and bill you for time that they did not work. They don't have a money back guarantee for the pay-for-time option.

They have an alphabetized Freelancer Directory, but that's probably not the best way to format a directory especially for this category. You can see that many freelancers have started their username with the letter A in an attempt to get found first, so it's not the most helpful nor accurate directory to browse thru.
